Director of Loss Control/Safety Manager for Gowan Mechanical Services
By supplementing his own knowledge and experience with EMCOR’s wide array of safety resources, Darryl ensures consistently safe and productive jobsites. At the same time, he directs safety education and training programs that keep the company focused on its zero incident objective.
Over the years, Darryl has developed strong working relationships with both local and regional OSHA directors and staffs. These relationships support Gowan Mechanical Services’ efforts to continuously improve and streamline compliance with applicable safety laws and regulations. He also works closely with the company’s primary care provider to ensure that employees get the high-quality medical care necessary to expedite their recovery, so they can return to work as soon as possible, aiding timely project completion.
In addition, Darryl’s extensive contacts with other safety professionals across the country help keep him up to date on safety “best practices”. This enables the company to continue its record of annual declines in total recordable incident rates (TRIR), while increasing overall job safety for Gowan Mechanical Services and its clients.
