AC, Mechanical Construction & Engineering Expertise

Tom has more than 37 years of mechanical construction experience, ranging from customer service to project engineering and management. After three years in the U.S. Air Force, where he rose to the rank of first lieutenant, aircraft commander, he joined Wood Leppard Air Conditioning as an engineer and project manager. He then moved to The Emde Companies, where he had senior project management and marketing roles. In 1985, he became vice president, JWP Gowan, with marketing and estimating responsibilities. Later, he took a post with Infinity Systems as secretary/treasurer before rejoining Gowan Mechanical Services in his present position.

Tom holds a bachelors in aerospace engineering and a masters in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University. He is also licensed in Texas as a professional engineer and as a class “A” air-conditioning contractor. A National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB)-certified professional, Tom is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, the City of Houston’s Mechanical Code Review Board, and NEBB’s Texas board.
