EMCOR Group, Inc. Subsidiary To Provide Critical Infrastructure For Methodist Hospital Research Institute

NORWALK, CONNECTICUT, June 10, 2008 - EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, announced that its Gowan, Inc. subsidiary will build and install critical infrastructure systems for the new Methodist Hospital Research Institute, which is part of the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

Gowan will install the facility's HVAC, exhaust, heat, recovery, plumbing, and medical gas systems to support all functional spaces, which will house 420,000 square feet of advanced medical research. The Company will utilize proprietary cutting-edge 3-D modeling and building information modeling (BIM) technologies for prefabrication, coordination among trades, and transfer of critical spatial and technical information to the building team.
