SCOPE OF SERVICES
Supported by its extensive multi-floor fast-track project experience, Gowan provided a 13-floor HVAC and plumbing build out. Of these floors, ten were first generation space that included a new kitchen and dining facility. As part of the build out, the company installed chilled water computer room units, fan powered boxes, fan coil units, ductwork, exhaust systems and control systems.
To complete this project successfully, Gowan combined its sizable resources with a flexible, cooperative working style. First, the project began within two days of the bid date. In the first two months, the company measured and fabricated all duct and piping, while performing over 45,000 field manhours. Gowan is the only company in the Houston area with the resources and expertise required to successfully accomplish this feat on such short notice. Second, all subcontractors had to share a single freight elevator. Keeping men and materials moving on a project that peaked at over 800 tradespeople on site presented a significant logistical challenge.
